During the school holiday, the OENA Directors set out on a short West Coast visit to Gonana Guesthouse. “Its been more than a year since we last visited this property and beautiful area. Friends of us where already there and stayed in another villa on the beach.  Normally this time of year we embark on the OENA Chasing the Sun Tour, which includes the sunny Eastern Coast of South Africa. 

At first we were sceptical to travel this direction , and under the false impression the west coast is rainy, cold and windy during winter months. We arrived to beautiful blue skies, kids playing on the beach, and some of the most amazing sunsets ever! “

It was good to be back at Gonana Guesthouse. This time we stayed in the Coral Villa. Situated in the bekbaai area, close to the beachfront. This three bedroom villa is ideal for a small family or group of friends. We just loved the small but special touches in the showers and on the beds. They even left some wine and essentials in the fridge when you arrive.

Gonana is Paternoster’s first sustainable guesthouse and we are proud to have Jonas and his team in our group! Their passion for the Paternoster area is almost contagious and all guest leave as ambassadors for Gonana Guesthouse and Paternoster. Staff is well trained and very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the restaurants and activities in the area. 

After two beautiful days in Paternoster we headed south for a fairly unplanned visit to Langebaan. On wednesday we left the farm packed for only 2 nights, but who cares when its travelling with friends and on an adventure. Kids where having a ball and could not stop playing.

Because it was very last minute our partner The View Langebaan could not host us, so we stayed with friends at their beach house in The Cove. What an incredible spot and busy coastal town. Langebaan has everything and more. From shopping to beaches to restaurants and activities. it is so close to Cape Town as well.
