The resort is a popular family friendly destination of choice for young families seeking a safe and clean resort, that is maximum 2 hour drive from Cape Town or George.
Camping
The Kam’Bati campsite is situated along the banks of the Breede River, under large blue-gum trees with green grass and walking distance from our clean ablution facilities. The refurbished Showers is gas powered to ensure we have warm water for all guest visiting the resort.
Camping & Caravanning on the Breede River
Our campsite offers well marked campsites that is ideal for caravans and normal tents. With the challenges of loadshedding in South Africa, we installed solar powered street lights and a solar powered water pump.
The sites are serviced daily by cleaning bins and braai drums. We encourage our campers to pack responsibly to reduce the amount of rubbish on site and while here, to recycle as much as possible.
We cater for families so a baby changing station and bath in Ablution A, will make your stay with kids much easier.

If you use your own solar panel and leave no trace by removing your own rubbish from the farm we will credit your next stay with a 10% Discount.
Self Catering Cottages
At Kam’Bati river Resort we have three self-catering cottages, all situated around one of our beautifully landscaped dams. Here you can fish and your kids can safely play on green grass under large willow trees. These two bedroom cottages with one bathroom (with shower and toilet) and one living room walking out to your private patio, and wood fired hot tub, is ideal for a family of maximum 4 guest. They are also walking distance from the swimming pools, putt-putt course, restaurant and Breede River.
Cabin 3, 4 & 5 – Family Stay
The perfect choice for a small family as it consists of 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, open plan living area and kitchenette that leads onto the patio that overlooks the dam.The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom two single beds for the kids. Good quality bed linen, blankets and fresh towels are supplied to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
On the patio you will find your braai and outdoor furniture to soak up the sun.
All three cottages now offer a private wood fired hot tub and is therefore a very popular getaway in summer and winter.
Cabin 6 –
Self-Catering Cabin on the Water
The perfect choice for a small family or couples getaway, this two-bedroom self-catering cabin is nestled right on the edge of a tranquil dam, offering beautiful water and mountain views. The cabin features two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower, and an open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen that leads onto a patio overlooking the water. The main bedroom is fitted with a comfortable bed, while the second bedroom is ideal for additional guests or children. Quality bed linen, electric blankets, and fresh towels are provided to ensure a comfortable stay. On the patio you will find a braai area and outdoor furniture, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The cabin also offers modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi, kitchen appliances, and a private wood-fired hot tub, making it a great getaway destination all year round.
Cabin 7 –
Water’s Edge Family Cabin
The perfect choice for families or small groups, this self-catering cottage accommodates up to four guests and offers a comfortable and relaxed stay. The unit features one bedroom with a double bed and a second sleeping area with two single beds, along with a bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. An open-plan kitchenette and lounge area provide all the essentials for a convenient stay, leading out onto a private patio with outdoor seating. Quality linen, electric blankets, and fresh towels are provided to ensure comfort in all seasons. Outside, you will find a braai area and a private wood-fired hot tub, perfect for unwinding while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
