Africamps at Kam’Bati

Welcome to one of the top family destinations in the Breede river valley of the Western Cape. A short two hour drive from Cape Town and George, and conveniently situated 5km of the N2 highway. The N2 is the road that leads travellers down the Garden Route. Kam’Bati River Resort was founded on the 11th of November 2003 on the Badenhorst family farm Jubileeeskraal. This is also where the Breede River and Sonderend River meets up – “where the rivers meet”

Glamping is a new term used for accommodation offering “Glamorous camping” or “luxury camping” 

Kam’Bati River Resort was one of the first “glamping” providers in South Africa, when the second Africamps camp with 5 “glamping” tents was established and opened in 2016. Africamps at Kam’Bati now offers thirteen very comfortable tents, that offers you a complete boutique camping experience. These tents all offers large decks to optimise views with a built in braai, indoor fireplace for the chilly nights and a fully equipped kitchenette and dining area that opens onto the deck. The tents are loadshedding free, with invertors and batteries to keep the lights and free wifi on when we have loadshedding in South Africa. 

With glamping we make it even easier to enjoy the river.  We can bring the river to you when we fill and light your wood fired hot tub. Imagine relaxing in warm water while admiring the night stars or Overberg sunsets.

Because of its great location Africamps at Kam’Bati is a popular weekend getaway spot along the Garden Route. With some of the best freshwater fishing spots along the popular Breede River, fisherman regularly show off their huge Carp catches on fishing social media pages and groups.
